When it comes to Singapore, there are tons of memories that I store in the country. Yes, I have experienced all of it: a day trip to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) only, 3 days with younger brother, work trip and my fourth time with RAINI Travel.

Honestly speaking, I don't remember the last time that I bought a travel package but sometimes it's good to just relax and enjoy the view, especially when it's a day trip. So, right after I finished my full-time work, I head to Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral) because that's where they gather before heading out to R&R Gelang Patah, Johor.
Let me tell you this, the rest area is really packed even though it's 4 in the morning, my advice is to take a bath before coming to KL Sentral because you will not go through hurdle. Remember, take a bath beforehand or stop at R&R before Gelang Patah.
Beforehand, make sure to fill in the white card that they gave before you head to the bus because it will help to ease the process at immigration. During the first immigration, you only need to take your handbag, but on the second time, you need to bring all your belongings. Most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport!
9.30 AM - Sentosa Island 📸
I went here with my younger brother before and we get on to the cable car! But, this time I walk through the Sentosa Broadwalk to the USS globe and that's something new. Along the boardwalk, I saw tons of artist with their painting and it's so inspiring!
The globe is actually a few minutes walk from the boardwalk which I suggest you wear comfortable shoes. By the way, if you are hungry there are eating place called as Malaysian Food Street, I never tried although it looks tempting, let me know if you have tried it on the comment down below!
Then we took a free monorail ride at Waterfront Station to Sentosa Station where you can explore the mini Merlion and some KFC Fuji Apple Froyo that I really need to beat the heat. When you get up to the area, you will arrive at Madame Tussauds, although I just circle around the souvenir shop at least I get to meet Tom Cruise 😉

Called as the colourful district in Singapore, the Kampong Glam area is ready to serve you their history, culture and create memories for you. I can assure you that 1 to 2 hour is not enough to stroll around the whole area.

Masjid Sultan 📸
This mosque has been in the 3 Muscat Street since the 1920s and it's a focal point for the Muslim community. Personally, I want to enter the Mosque for prayer but since it's the time of the month, I decided to stroll around Haji Lane area instead. By the way, make sure to wear proper clothes upon entering.

Restoran Zam Zam 🥘
One of the famous restaurants that you will spot at North Bridge area is packed during the weekend. So, if you are not patient I would suggest you visit other restaurants around the area. But, as for our case, we are lucky to spot a table on the second floor and our order doesn't take too long to get. Honestly, it's an expensive meal but you kind of pay for the amount.

Haji Lane 📸
Now, we are at my favourite street in Singapore! It's a very Instagram worthy spot and there are lots of cafe and shops that you can visit. Basically, prepare your money, camera and you will have the time of your life at Haji Lane.

Looking for a cheap souvenir to bring back hometown? Bugis Street is your place! I'm not that into souvenir except fridge magnet because my mom loves to collect them but if you are planning to bring some t-shirt or tote bag home, check out Singapore Souvenir Center. I would recommend you to visit inside of the market if you have a time and grab some LiHo Honey Milk Avocado takeaway!

4.00 PM - Merlion Park & Esplanade 📸
Welcome to the real Merlion statue that filled with tourist all over the world. The statue that represents the 'lion city' is a perfect access to Esplanade (a world-class performing arts centre) and a perfect view of Marina Bay Sands where the engagement party in Crazy Rich Asians happened! Pro tip here to come early in the morning to avoid fighting over a great spot for photos. Well, everyone want one picture with the Merlion before going back to their hometown 😉
INFORMATION:
6.00 PM - Gardens by the Bay 📸
A splendid Supertrees has actually generated a solar system which I never knew before when I suspended on OCBC Skyway. But when I was about to walk at the suspended 128-metre-long walkway they are closed for safety reasons since it's raining and thunder badly. Well, it's too bad because I won't get a closer view of Marina Bay Sands! But, the view of during a nighttime, I can't even put it into words. Totally recommend you to visit during and after sunset!
8.00 PM - Marina Bay Sand Light & Water Show 📸
Actually, you can walk from Gardens by the Bay to Marina Bay Sands but the tour bus drove us to the entrance and we walk through The Shoppes to the light show. I love the mall, not because of the shops but the Sampan ride. Plus, the show 'Spectra' is awesome to end the day trip! We get there pretty early and get a spot in front of the barricade. No worries it's a free to public show so make sure to enjoy the stunning 15 minutes show of water fountains.
Overall, this one day trip is blessed because I get to catch up with an old friend, Farah Dafri and meet new people that joined the trip. The best part is we agree on something and that basically bond us! So, thank you so much for the experiences, where to next?

3rd
DAY
It is
always sad leaving anywhere but life is life, that is how it is, we do not stay
at one place. We packed our bags and gently asked for the receptionist to take
care of our belongings. The staffs were great and undeniably very helpful. Off
we go to Pulau Ubin! We took the MRT to Tanah Merah Station and if I am not
mistaken, boarded Bus No 2 to Changi Village. From there, we went by a small
boat that fits for only 12 people at once to Pulau Ubin.
Ferry
Expense : S$6 per person
(return)
P/S: Always bring your poncho
in case it rains
You
could see in the map that Pulau Ubin is quite far from the mainland of
Singapore so it took a little bit of time. However, the beauty of the sea
hypnotises you with serenity and tranquility, instilling calmness in your
heart. For about 45 minutes, both of us safely reached Pulau Ubin.
Unfortunately,
it was raining at time we arrived but luckily we brought our poncho together
with us. Rain should not stop you from anything! Nothing should not stop you
from travelling. Its best to inhale Pulau Ubin by renting a bike.
Expense : S$12 per person
P/S: Price adverse for
different types of bike
The
‘aunty’ (I think Malaysians and Singaporeans share this trait of calling
Chinese women whom older than us ‘aunty’) will hand a map of Pulau Ubin to you
but since it was raining, the map was kinda useless. We just ride anywhere we
preferred to by just following the trail. Do not worry, you would not get lost.
Then
you will need to walk to enter Chek Jawa, we walked to the coastal lines of the
island but there were nothing to be seen because it was raining. The water
turned chalky. The suspended bridge continued along to the wetland and it was
beautiful. You should see it for yourself.
Expense : S$9 for 5 pieces of
marrow bones
P/S : It was in a
neighbourhood area
Bloated and full especially my sister, we took Bus No 152 to Tampines MRT Station (no more walking). From there, we foot off at How Par Villa Station to go to How Par Villa Park. Unfortunately, it was closed. So we headed back to our hotel to retrieve our bags and recharge our gadgets.
We
took the MRT to Bugis to return our passes and killed some time to buy some
things for us (something useful) especially foods at Bugis Street. And we
bought the cinnamon rolls again at Bugis Junction! Yay to us!
Star Cinnamon
Rolls
Expense : S$11 for 6 pieces
At
about 10.45pm, both us have diminished and felt wore off so we decided to wait
for our bus home to Malaysia Golden Mile Tower. Soon after we departed from Singapore
back to our home country, Malaysia. We hope to see you again soon Singapore!
2nd
DAY
Coldness
reached our feet causing us to wake up coincidentally. The room was too cozy and
comforting. I did not feel any aches within my body, I knew that it went away
temporary. It was the perfect time to hunt in Singapore especially in this blue
weather! Mundane morning as usual, finished with sprays of mist and off we
went.
Last
night before I washed away into dreams, I had listed and organized our plan for
tomorrow and the day after through researchers. My one and only advice to those
who want to travel on budget is to do research, read reviews, anything that you
can use to consensus your plan.
Okay,
moving on to our day, we walked to Lavender Station and descended to south of
Singapore’s famous island, Sentosa Island. As I said before, most MRT stations
in Singapore are connected with a mall. This time, it brought us to VivoCity. Then we took a 10
minutes walk to HarbourFront Tower 2 to take on a cable car!
Expense : S$29.00 per person
(Mount Faber line)
P/S: You can redeem a free
keychain at one of the giftshops!
Blue
morning and greens are always a good recipe for morning breeze. Nonetheless, my
sister and I went to Mount Faber, the highest peak at Singapore. Replenishing
our lungs with fresh air. We had a brisk walk around the lush greens area to spot for Henderson Waves (A wavy-built bridge). The aftermatch was exhausting!
Then we immediately boarded the cable car towards Sentosa Island. There are
pretty much nothing there except for Madame Tussauds.
To
continue our day,we had lunch at City Hall station’s food court. After that we
departed to our next destination which was...the National Museum of Singapore!
National Museum
of Singapore
Expense : S$5 per person for
foreign students
P/S : Student card really
helps you, always bring it together!
I
would say the approaches were magnetizing. No such boredom occurred during my
visit to this museum. The way they assembled everything was interactive. I am
pleased with what it has given me ; history, geography, politics, musics,
entertainment and fun-learning. I love everything especially the Zoetrope at
the sport section!
Soon
after we embarked by MRT to Raffles Station to visit one of the most famous spot
in Singapore; the Merlion! The park was packed like sardines. Locals and
foreigners were all there to capture the typical pose with the Merlion statue
(mouth open camera trick). You can also witness everything from this park
including Marina Bay Sands, skyscrapers, the Esplanade and many more.
At
about 8pm, we descended to the underground Lavender MRT station, we exchanged stations towards Ang Mo Kio. This time, we opted for bus to somewhere mystery.
You can really rely on their public transportations, everything was convenient,
efficient and effective. They even have an app to ease your journey while in
Singapore.
30
minutes of casually sitting on the bus has been the longest time I have ever
experienced. We got off the bus right in front of the Night Safari Zoo!
Expense : S$45 for two persons
P/S: The original price was
S$45 per person, they were having 50% off after 9pm during my visit.
We
never experience such open space with wild animals before but this time, no
boundaries, there was nothing separating us. Every visitors would need to ride
the tram, in total darkness with bits of light, we were injected with
goosebumps cause it was kinda eerie. You can hop off at this one stop and
experience the satisfying night safari with your friends (the animals!). Some of them
were just giggly and cute! But some….. may fright you up. The zoo guide on your
tram will explain every time we encounter with new animals. It was purely
enjoyable!
Till
then, this koala whistled that he needed some sleep. P/S: Discounts made us bought him! and his twinsie too!
