The first impression matters even if it just one-hour flight journey from your hometown! As a passenger, we all need excellent service and to be a good passenger itself, so, it's a win-win situation. Let's see if Malaysia Airlines is up to the par, enough for me to enjoy my short hour work trip flight!
In Kuala Lumpur, we have two airports, KLIA1 was the first one, and KLIA2 is merrier than the other one. Personally, I love KLIA2 because if I arrived airport early, I can hang around and ate at Family Mart or do a window shopping. If you would like to go back forth from this airport, you can buy KLIA transit pass, if you are diligent enough. Let me know if you disagree or agree with me regarding this in the comment down below!
The total amount that was paid for this flight is RM217.98 (fare - RM167, Tax: RM16 YQ, RM0.98 D8, RM22 MY, RM2 H8 and RM10.02 D8) - 12 January 2019 to 13 January 2019.
Alright, I clearly know that I cannot compare this flight to Emirates because of the duration of the trips, it will be unfair. So clearly, this flight don't have any WiFi that I can use since...come one... it's a one hour flight.

To be honest with you, I am still a noob regarding different airlines besides Air Asia. For me to have an opportunity to fly beside them, it's a dream came true because their flight ticket is out of my budget. So, yay for a bargain and free stuff!
I heard good and bad things about Malaysia Airlines. Some of them are, their leg space is good, their flight fare is included with 20kg baggage which for me is fantastic because there is no hidden charge. By the way, I used the check-in because I bought a cookware set for my own home this year, but I need to pay for 10% tax out of my expenditure because I didn't stay there for minimum 24 hours.

Everything went smoothly since it's a local flight! I only need to show my identity card, and it's a piece of cake. I have been to the local destination by flight a couple of times since it's my own hometown, it's comfortable for me.
The service was okay, I still remembered that all the flight attendants greet us warmly, but you are on your own once the plane departs. The leg space was okay too, not as huge as I was also expected, maybe because it's a local flight.

Entertainment & WiFi

Regarding in-flight entertainment, they do have a screen in front of you, like it depends on how you know to use it or not. I didn't realise at first, so from KL to Langkawi I just scrolling Instagram on my phone and knowing that it's a dumb move, then I switch to just looking at videos on my phone gallery. *sigh*

But, I urged to discover the screen from Langkawi back to Kuala Lumpur. So, I just press on and ask the flight attendants where should I plug my own handsfree (they don't provide one). Dude, it just beside me the whole time and I said thank you so much to him, and in my head, I said to myself, "Lili, why you don't have a common sense?."
Honestly, I don't remember what movie I watched, but I know that I didn't get to finished that one movie at all because of the short period flight. But, overall they have a great wide range of new films, and you can make the screen small and scroll to discover more.

Food
When you received your electronic flight tickets, you will notice this:
The meal will be served on flights where the flying time is more than 60 min, meal service may differ on MASwings and codeshare flights.
Make sure to eat before or after, whatever that suit you. Because I don't and I regret it because I only had peanuts and orange juice in flight. Don't misunderstand me, Malaysia Airlines peanuts are great, I even want to bring some home which I did but just hope that at least I could try one of their in-flight dinings to other countries after this.

MH1446 & MH1145, I will remember you even it's for a short trip because it's my first time to fly with Malaysia Airlines. But, to be honest, it doesn't have that much impact as Emirates due to the short duration, but I would definitely want to hop on for a long hour flight. What do you think about Malaysia Airlines? I never would imagine visiting Dubai anytime sooner! Truthfully I'm so thankful with the opportunity to discover my first Middle East country in Dubai, especially flying with Emirates.
It's my first time to fly with Emirates and knowing to be in Dubai for the business trip makes me feel as nervous as ever. But, thank god I met and clicked with another journalist from my hometown, Malaysia and just enjoy the 7-hour flight.

To be honest, I didn't put a high expectation because I was so tired and planned to sleep throughout the flight. Oh boy, that's just a dream! Instead, I woke up the whole flight, excited by all the latest movies that I didn't get to watch before with an interactive screen that showed the took off.
After we are being lifted from the ground, my economy flights with Emirates started to get pretty interesting.
Services, Amenities & Comfort
My mindset is as long I get to arrive at the destination, I would be super happy especially when it doesn't kill my budget. I agreed to say that Emirates flight is a bit pricey than what I normally go for but what you pay is what you get.
Estimated return flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 1) - Dubai International Aiport (DXB) - KLIA 1 is around RM7,000++ (all-in) but take note that I was sponsored due to a business trip.
The moment you walked inside, you will see a blanket, two-pin headset and a soft pillow. These items the aircraft property so make sure to ask the flight attendant if you can bring the blanket home!
Speaking about the flight attendant, they are really helpful and makes me feel like I'm at a business class seats. Indeed they are very attentive and friendly.
The leg space for me is quite 'okay' but I expect to get more space because it's kind of similar to the aircraft that I usually get into.

Never had I experience in-flight entertainment until this trip. I couldn't be happier to not open my laptop and just have a screen in front of me consist up to 40,000 channels. From KL to DXB, I watched Patrick Melrose, Mamma Mia, Ocean 8, listen to iKON songs and even playing games.
To kill more time, I connect my phone to complimentary 20MB of free WiFi. Seriously, the connection ends pretty quickly after checking on Instagram, WhatsApp and googling. After the 20MB end, you need to pay in order to get connected. I don't think it was necessary since I have the flight entertainment.
From DXB to KL, I watched The Greatest Showman, Misson Impossible: Fallout and Along With The Gods. Again, I listen to iKON songs to killed time. These are some of the movies that I remembered watching and it might be more than that because there are tons of drama and movie choices.
Overall, I could live without WiFi for 7-hours as long there is a wide range of in-flight entertainment. In fact, I didn't get to sleep because of it and it was fantastic!

Food
My favourite things to talk about! I have a mentality that flights food will just be ordinary but not with Emirates. This time let the pictures and captions explained it all.
By the way, all of Emirates meals are halal but they also served alcoholic beverages.

I like how they explained each of the menus very detailed and I would say the food quality and taste is pretty top notch. From salad, main course (grilled perch with red pepper sauce) to dessert, everything just tastes great.

My favourite meal is lunch time! Because the sandwich is a bit dry and it's really good with chilli sauce but too bad they don't have it. So yeah, very balanced diet during lunchtime, we have fibre, protein and carbohydrate. The only thing that I don't like is the desert because I just don't like cherry.
By the way, if you bring your own bottle you can ask the staff to refill and save the world!
