2. LRT Dang Wangi

Check in at Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur

The best way when you arrived in the evening is to check in straight to your hotel. I always did that when I'm travelling and I can understand finding accommodation near public transportation is important. So, I want to suggest Hotel Stripes that took around 5 minutes to walk from LRT Dang Wangi.

I believe that the hotel is still new but there are tons of facilities such as gym, swimming pool with KL Tower view and a wide variety of breakfast. Speaking of KL Tower view, I've also got a view from my room which is just fascinating. If you're going to book, request room number 1701, you're welcome 😉

Roaming around concrete jungle at KL Forest Eco Park

We need to walk around 20 minutes to our next stop, KL Forest Eco Park formerly known as Bukit Nanas Forest reserve. Honestly, as a local, I find it hard to come here especially when you're driving a car. When I ask the guard, the nearest parking spot is around KL Tower area. So, my suggestion is, you either come here walking, Grab Car, MyCar or by motorcycle, this is the best option.

The main things to do here is walk through a 200 meters canopy walk. You will have fun during the walking because you can encounter tons of trees species (QR codes scan available for information), enjoy the view of the forest and the city.

Experiences 124 Years Old Taoist Temple, Guan Di Temple

Interior of this temple makes me go awe and I can experience tons of locals praying and worshipping. I do have a Chinese neighbor and witness how they praying but I never saw a "fortune telling" way where people shook a container full of sticks, and it's the answer to your questions. Psstt! Grab your dessert at Kafe Happy Meal located a few minutes walk from the temple.

Get Up to The Hill of Thean Hou Temple

I can't explain why but I have been aiming to visit this temple for a while now. Mostly it's because of the bright building colour. Do you believe that it was there since 1987, that is something I need to remember.

Inside the temple, you will explore six-tiered temple full with modern Buddhist pagoda, and statue of Tian Hou! I'm pretty sure you will love to walk around, see the local praying and just chill at one of rest spot. I would recommend you to visit here during Chinese New Year festival 😉
