Places To Stay: The Peninsula Bangkok Review

I have struck one more country from the checklist of mine - Bangkok. A city that never sleeps, full of exciting things to discover with good food and great hospitality. My 3D2N work trip in Bangkok is welcome by the cosiness of my stay at The Peninsula Bangkok.

Never crosses my mind that I will visit Bangkok this sooner and loving it. 3D2N is not enough, and I'm planning to say "Hey, I'm back again." to this city of Thailand.

But, I'm not going to write about Bangkok attraction. Instead, I will focus on writing about my stay for that whole trip at The Peninsula Bangkok

The Peninsula Bangkok is one of the most beautiful hotels located at one of the scenic Chao Phraya River in Thonburi, close to the Sathorn Bridge. There are 12 rooms and suites available at the hotel, and I get to enjoy the Deluxe Room

1. Beautiful View

I can see the view of the moment I open the door. For those three days I have panoramic river views all to myself and it just breathtaking. The best part of this hotel since the hotel designed with the wave-shaped design and every room will get to witness the sight!

2. Dreamy Services

Check-in process is easy! One of the staff followed me to the room, and she explained all the things that I should know (private check-in). She also asks my credit card upon the check-in, it's a very old school way, and there is no technology involved in the process. For some people, they might not be comfortable for other people to be inside the room, but for me, sometimes it's good to have a face to face communication.

She also asked me if I would need ice and she refills after I did some short walk. But, strangely my luggage didn't arrive yet, so it was quite a hurdle to call the room services since I was rushing to get ready for the big event at that time.

3. Excellent Mode of Transportation

This is my favourite part of this hotel - the shuttle boat services. I can get to anywhere because of the boat - Taksin Pier (BTS Skytrain Station), ICONSIAM and ASIATIQUE The Riverfront for FREE! Technically it's included with the hotel price, but for me, it's heaven.

The time is vary depending on the location, but it's available daily. I like it as I get to discover Premium 7-eleven at ICONSIAM and ASIATIQUE to do some shopping for myself and others since I did the personal shopper services.

4. Authentic Food

When I arrived, it was around lunchtime. So, I grab the lunch at The Lobby. It's the lobby area where they served International All-Day Dining, and out of all that, I had Pad Thai. On the menu, it explained all the ingredients that they use for cooking, and it contains prawns, rice noodles, sprouts and beautiful eggs covering the delicious Pad Thai.

For breakfast, guests can head straight to The River Café & Terrace. It's full of international dishes, and I'm quite sad that I didn't get to experience the authentic Thailand breakfast food. So, I just took the salad and cereal. But, OMG, the Mango is to die for! It was the sweetest Mango I have ever tried in my entire life.

Moving on to the 37th floor, Paribatra is unique locations, and the staff told us that not everyone could enter the exclusive lounge. It's an Aviation lounge adjoining with the private rooftop helipad, and it was full of aviation history all over the room. I had a tremendous vegetarian full course meal here, and it was best-accompanied with the view.

Since I have free time to discover Bangkok, I could say that it is the most convenient hotel to be at in the city. For me, I could reach places easily with the boat shuttle services and it was around 30-minute drive to Dong Muang International Airport. Overall, as a solo traveller, I must say that The Peninsula Bangkok makes me feel safe with the 24-hour front desk and the attentive hotel staffs.
