It has been so long since I came to theme park, but here we are having fun at Legoland! Do take note that, target audience for Legoland is for children age between 3 and 12 years old.

Clearly I'm not around that age, but on this post I want to show that adult can have fun too with their children. So, here are 5 things that adults can do at Legoland (to avoid boredom).

ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT SPONSORED POST

1. Decoration & Lego Displays
With my Lego buddy
Honestly, the moment I set foot in this place, I was like 'wow', its kind of remind me of Universal Studio Singapore (USS).

The vibe, the decoration of this place is top notch, basically its a Legoland universe. While looking around, make sure to take a lot of picture. Build a memory with your family or friends!

Remind me of Shrek at USS
2. Ninjago

So here is the thing, apart from looking at wonderful decor, I'm getting frustrated because I couldn't find any activity to join.

Fret not, my excitement is far beyond my nephew when I found this Ninjago section, and play Ninjago The Ride.

I play the ride twice, the second round is after we spend most of our time at waterpark. That's how much I love this ride. For more info about this place, click play button below.

3. Legoland Rides
Legoland Express
Project X

I get to play Dino Island, Dragon's Apprentice, Lost Kingdom Adventure, Project X and The Dragon.
Yeap, as an adult, I think this area suit me the most.

As you can see, most of the ride that I played is a roller coaster ride. But, no worries, it was not a long ride where your lung almost came out, it was just a short and suitable for kid who wanted to try it for the first time.

4. The Brick Shop

Talking about souvenir, I didn't found anything until my mom and I went to this shop. For me, most of the shop in Legoland didn't have variety and sadly they didn't have their own Legoland fridge magnet or pin.

If you experience frustration like I do, just head down to The Brick Shop.

Because....

You can build your own mini figure. Not just one but three mini figure for RM27. If you didn't have any idea to buy something for your family or friends, just splurge on this.

But if you are a fan of Star Wars, Ninjago and of course Lego, you can found plenty of Lego collections here.

5. Legoland Waterpark
View from above
Sorry I didn't take up closed photo because I'm having  so much fun at the waterpark. No line, no age limitation and suitable for adults and children. I get the opportunity to try all of the slides except Twin Chasers (green and blue tube). My favourite would be Brick Blaster, because I get to swing, slides and sway down through tunnel, and end with a splash!

One of my favourite decoration

Even though their main target is for children,
I think it was great to get to spend time here at Legoland. In terms of price, it was okay because look at those hard work in getting all of the things build up.

Bonus: you can get discount when purchased ticket online with Maybank card.

One more thing, we didn't ate at the restaurant (inside the theme park), because my mom packed our food in zip lock bag (carefully and be responsible). But, we do have our lunch at the water park (Brick Cafe) which is pretty expensive. Therefore, please choose wisely.

Before I end this post, I want to tell you guys that I'm just sharing my experienced as an adult. For more information about Legoland, visit www.legoland.com.my/ and hope this post will be helpful in the future!

It hit me so hard when I see all of women or even men follow a trend that we are not supposed too. I personally think that there is no such thing as beauty standards and all of us are just beautiful as it is.

I know-I know its hard to just be yourself, people will start to talk about you and such. But, screw them, its our body and choice is in our hand. As long we are satisfied we are good to go.

1. Love Your Body
Source: Ashley Graham on giphy.com
Body. One of the fashion industry favourite subject.

We must remember that we are just normal people. Normal people do what normal people do

Don't put to much pressure on yourself to be skinny, instead change your mind set that 'I need to be healthy'.

Don't forget to exercise at least three times a week and not necessarily to spend your time at the gym for it. You can do cardio at home, bring an exercise buddy to make sure you help you focus more.

By the way, be healthy doesn't mean you have to get six pack and muscles, it just enough for you to be fit. Unless you aimed to bringing out some packs on your body, do as you wish.

2. My Skin Colour is Dope!
Source: REX Shutterstock at Mara Hoffman fall '17 collection
Again not blaming on the advertisement but, they are one of the factor that most of us wanted a light skin colour.

People from every country have their own unique skin colour and there so many aspects took formed for such things. As for example, human that been living in tropical climate tend to have a dark skin colour, and vice versa.

It's nature and God made us perfect as it is. Remember, once you change the nature, you can't go back.

There are few ways to lighten your skin such as supplements, bleaching and white cream. I realised that in Malaysia, supplements is the legit way to get the light skin tone. Either in form of powder and pill, there are so many brands out there selling 'whitening miracle'.

But, you must know that there will be a side effect after certain period of time.

Honestly, I have gone through such period to get a standard skin tone, but then I realised that I should embraced my own skin tone, I'm not dark and I don't need to be light. We are the colours to the life no matter what.

3. Accept Your Unique Features
Source: Molly Blair on giphy.com
Freckles, big eyes, small eyes, it doesn't matter.

Accept the flaws and work it out to show to the people that 'hell yeah, I love myself and I'm going to make you love me too'.

For me, Alicia Keys is the best example for this. She owned it and show all the freckles and go bare face, 'au naturel'. If she as a celebrity can have the courage to show in front of whole wide world, why won't we?

Remember, accept the flaws and walk with confident.

Plus, you have other important thing to do rather than dealing with society acceptance.

Such as, achieved something important.

Life is too short and it would be a waste to worrying about things that are not beneficial to us. Enjoy wandering around nature, travelling, or do what you love without any regrets.

Overall, I do feel full after consumed the acai bowl, and it last longer than normally I would do by just eating a rice. I guess, that's how chia seed play an important role in it.

If you guys wanted to try this, visit Impressed MY at NU Sentral or share a comment below about another place that served acai bowl on their menu! I would love to try it. 😆

On 9th February 201, almost 24 years living near to Batu Caves, this year we decided to experienced an important celebration from one of the Malaysia ethnic, which is the Indians.

Malaysia is well know for it various ethnicity, and I wanted to tell you about one of them. The history behind this population started in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the Indians came to work as labourers on rubber plantation, while those were English-educated occupied more professional positions.

An estimated 9% of the total population of Malaysian, almost 89% of them are practicing Hinduism. Therefore, every year they will celebrate some of the major Hindu festivals include Deepavali and Thaipusam.

Thaipusam is an important Hindu event based on the full moon day in the month of Thai (January/February) in the Hindu calendar. Therefore, its dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Murugan (youngest son of Shiva and his wife, Parvati).

I see there are few people climbing the 272 stairs barefoot, carrying a gold pot onto their head and many more.

Through a lot of readings, all of this carrying things is called as Kavadi. The word Kavadi itself derived from 'Kaayu' and 'tadi' which means a pole to carry things, and it comes with various shapes, sizes and colours.

Koodam Mulle

This first time of Kavadi is when small hooks pierced into the skin, and carrying either a small pots of milk, or fruits like in the picture.

Paal Kavadi

When I'm at Batu Caves, I always saw people carrying a pot like this on their head. It hit me with a curiosity, what is inside there, and I guess maybe its a milk.

Thankfully, its correct, and yeap usually it was filled with fresh cow's milk but these days, most Malaysian use milk purchased at supermarket.

Some of them wearing saffron coloured cotton clothes, while others dress in regular Indian costumes.

Mayil/Shadal Kavadi

Enourmous, this kavadi can take up to two meters tall and its decorated either with peacock feathers or carved polystrene. The devotee need to carry this while climb the stairs.

Some of them just carrying the kavadi, but there are also carrying kavadi and wearing a piercing onto the cheeks or tongue, which lead us to this next type of kavadi.

Alavu Kavadi

This is my favourite photo on that day. I can feel the hotness, and the burden that this guy carrying and there he is, still smiling and ready to achieved something which that they vowed.

This are few types of kavadi that I captured during our trip at Batu Caves, but I am keen to show you a journey of this one guy. The moment we saw him before climbing Batu Caves, until he arrived and open the piercing at the temple.

Before I ended this post, I discover a great video about Thaipusam, and it was made by R:AGE last year. I think by watching this video, you guys can understand the journey and sacrifices that they made during the celebration.

I hope you guys spare some time and watched this video. That's it for now and see you on my next post!

We might as well agree that we (Malaysian) love to eat chicken more than fish, it was our MUST have food. Another one that we can't forget is rice! Yeap, I couldn't live a day without eating rice. I will consumed it at least one plate of rice per day.

Therefore, I have found just a right place for you to try. Located at The Curve, Damansara, Hyo-Sun is your next stop because, nothing could go wrong with chicken and rice.

Love the decorations and vibe!

Hyo-Sun specialises in a wide range of homemade Korean fried chicken flavours such as Honey, Spicy and Crispy. The best part is, the food are cooked upon order and they have unlimited rice as an option in their combos. I repeat, UNLIMITED!

Besides chicken and rice, Hyo-Sun offered a range of side orders, rice dishes, and Kimchi noodles. Other than that, they also have a range of  Korean Street Food, like Pajeon (Korean Pancake) and Mandoo (Fried Dumpling).

Enough talking about the menu, let's get real with some photo and review!

Side Dishes
Side Dishes
Korea food is well known to offer a tons of side dishes. Therefore, we can't run from it and Hyo-Sun served side dishes upon ordering lunch/dinner value course. They served with peanut, Kimchi and a slice of watermelon.

You can see that, it's a Malaysian style because so far in any Korean restaurant that I went, they served me wuth three variety of kimchi and doesn't include fruits like Hyo-Sun offered.

I like the peanuts, and the kimchi was okay for me. It had that spice and doesn't taste to acidic like the one that I have always have. I would say it was made to suite a Malaysian tastebud.

Mandoo (Fried Dumplings)

I am a fan of dumpling, and so far my favourite would be at the one of the stall in RASA KLCC.

Honestly, I am not a fan of this fried dumpling, not because of the filling, but because I'm not fan of crunchy dough.

Otherwise, it had that a nice taste to it because the filling consist of prawn, carrot, spring onion and cuttlefish. If you want added a little bit of kick to your tastebud, I recommend you to eat it with the sauce given.

Pajeon (Korean Pancake)

Another side order coming through and we all seen this all over Korean drama/variety shows. Korean have variety types of pajeon, some were made with potato starch (like in Family Outing), but we usually see a spring onion version.

Hyo-Sun version is a mix of spring onion, seafood, chilies and as always served with soy sauce. On the menu, they put a chilies symbol, which I assumed will be a bit spicy, but turns out it was not at all.

It was a bit overwhelmed for me, and the pancake batter is a little bit thick. It kind of like I'm eating a semi-cook pancake.

All of the toppings was cooked perfectly, but I think they might afraid to overcook the toppings because they might cook it first. Therefore, they cut time short on perfecting the pancake batter.

Fried Chicken Ball

The third side order menu is a chicken breast. It was cooked with crispy powder and salted egg. So, you can really taste the salted egg, but I think it was a little bit salty for me. I like how they cook the chicken, it was so soft and easy to eat due to the shape.

Breast Strips

Marinated with their fresh fragrance signature rice powder coating, breast strips is boneless and easy to eat (thumbs up for that). Customer have three choices, either to order the 4 pieces, 8 pieces or 12 pieces.

Honestly, it feels like you are eating a rice cake, but this time around with a chicken. It added a crunchy taste to eat, which is great.

But, I only can eat one to two of this because taste kind of bland if you eat it along. But, if you eat with the additional sauce, its better.

The funny story is, we tried to taste the sauce all over again just to guess what are the ingredients in it. It taste different and really interesting.

Deep Fried Calamari

Ohh I love this and I was surprised variety of Hyo-Sun menu. Deep fried calamari is a marinated cuttlefish that was fried with crispy powder and salted egg.

I know that fried chicken ball also have a salted egg, but what I like about this one is because its not too salty. I can't stop eating this, and it was one of my favourite.

Crispy Course

Here we go with one of the Hyo-Sun signature Korean fried chicken. It was like a normal fried chicken, but with an extra crunch. What I like about Korean fried chicken is, they are easy to eat because the chicken is just nice for me to hold.

For all the three flavours you can choose either chicken wings and drumette and chicken drumstick, either 4, 8 or 12 pieces. But, the differences is, crispy course offer an additional sauce to spice it up a little bit.

Honey Course

Look at that glazed of honey! My stomach is growling the moment I see this photos. It was said that Honey course is a customer favourite. I can see why, because it had that sweet, crunchy taste to it.

It taste like a healthy meal due to the honey element, and it might be a good reason for you to eat tons of this.

Spicy Course

They said that honey course is the popular choice, but for me spicy course wins my heart. I like spicy food although I can't handle spicy properly.

This is for those who is like me (can't handle spicy food that well). It will be a great choice for you because, it was not that spicy and taste a little bit of sweet. I can eat this course as many as I wanted too.
