Didgeridoo crafting workshops at Idearaya

SHAH ALAM - 'Idearaya', a festival of arts and culture towards community through workshops, screenings and exhibitions received a tremendous response recently.

Obtained almost 3,500 guests for both days of the festivals, it takes almost two months to gather only the concept of origin.

Director of the festival, Zikri Rahman, 25, said the programme were diversified into forums, pidato, cultures, exhibitions, workshops, screenings and 'Pasar Boco' books and crafts bazaar.

"All of the activities in Idearaya involving arts and culture because we position ourself as a cultural movement," he added.

Workshops from soap making, didgeridoo crafting, to tepuk-tepuk cajun. This indicates that knowledge should be spread widely and been offer for free.

Besides workshops, other activities that involved arts and culture such as photo exhibition and arts will be end with the Indieraya concert on Sunday evening.

Pusat Kajian dan Apresiasi Filem (PKAF), was one of the groups behind Idearaya, #AseanDalamFilem brought a different kind of short films around Southeast Asian.

"Entertaining is necessary, but we want to show that films are just not for entertainment, the content is also important," said curator #AseanDalamFilem, Muzzamer Rahman.

Desired to expand their smaller scales to larger scales, Idearaya in planned to be held annually.

Zikri Rahman said they will come out with something 'new' every year, by teaming up not just with a community around Klang Valley but all over Southeast Asian too.

ASSIGNMENT : SIMULATION

MAUT TERIMA TIKAMAN 'MISTERI'

SHAH ALAM -  Seorang wanita maut akibat terkena tikaman di dada ketika bergelut dengan penyerang di bangunan lama PKNS, Seksyen 15, Shah Alam awal pagi tadi.

Mangsa dikenal pasti sebagai Vigauri A/P Valu, 18, didakwa telah memeluk agama Islam Disember tahun lalu. Nama Islamnya adalah Siti Suraya Abdullah.

Deputi Superintendan Balai Polis Seksyen 11, Shah Alam, Syed Kamarul Bin Syed Amani Jamalulail Baraqba berkata mangsa ditikam di bahagian dada sebelah kiri, leher dicekik dan juga terdapat kesan pergelutan di bahagian tangan.

"Perjalanan mangsa dari tempat kerja, Port Klang ke tempat kediamannya di Damansara, diikuti oleh sebuah kenderaan yang bertindak mengejar kereta mangsa," kata beliau.

Hasil pemeriksaan ke atas mayat mangsa, turut menemui tiga cap jari di kawasan berikut dan akan disiasat dengan lebih lanjut.

"Dua rakan saya ditugaskan untuk menjaga bangunan ini. Mereka terdengar bunyi jeritan dan suara seperti sedang bergaduh telah berlaku pada pukul 4.00 pagi," kata saksi yang bekerja di bangunan itu.

"Setakat ini tiada suspek yang ditahan dan berkemungkinan suspek adalah pembunuh upahan," tambah Syed Kamarul.

Dianggarkan waktu kematian pada pukul 4.20 pagi, mangsa meninggal dunia 20 minit selepas ditikam.

Motif kes pembuhunuhan wanita ini masih dalam siasatan dan berkemungkinan ia  atas sebab kes cemburu buta atau hanya kerana wanita ini memeluk agama Islam.

Mayat mangsa dibawa ke Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang untuk dibedah siasat.
